Gravity Lies – Intro

The first part of the Guardians story arc.  This novella is about Hannah and Beth; it switches between their perspectives – first person with Hannah and third person with Beth.  It switches every other chapter so it should be pretty easy to keep up with.

Note: This is an edited first draft and as I was going through editing it I realized there were things I could change about it, but for now I’m going to keep it as is.  This is essentially just a working concept for the story and regardless of how I change it it would end up the same way, so please keep that in mind as you read.

Synopsis
The world is a cruel and ugly place.  Hannah has always known this, but after seeing what Beth has gone through with the death of her mom, she’s far more convinced of this fact than before.  Not even the appearance of a guardian angel can convince her otherwise of this.  Besides, once he showed up things ended up getting even worse, especially when they found out that Beth has a demon following her around.

The story’s namesake comes from the song Gravity Lies, by RED.  The song only loosely goes along with the story, but regardless it does fit.  If you can’t tell from either the song or the synopsis, this is not a happy story, so read with caution and tread carefully.

CONTENT WARNINGS – Contains mild amounts of profanity, depictions of abuse, mentions of suicide, and allusions to sexual assault.
